Bobcat hunting - Lynx rufus male
Bobcat- Lynx rufus - male Male bobcat marking and scraping along trail. Bobcats communicate using visual and olfactory signals and the most common of these is scent marking. Bobcats use urine, feces and anal glands to delineate home ranges, dens, travel paths and to advertise sexual availability. Last week this male had a slight swollen left cheek which looks better this week but now he looks like he is not opening his right eye completely. Conditions were overcast and cloudy. Late afternoon.
