Female elephant seal just gave birth to the pup . The seagulls swoop in to eat the afterbirth.

Females with pups would get extremely vocal when other females without pups came near their pup.

I noticed when the younger males approached another male they would make this face before they vocalized to the other male.

The older male swung around very quickly and confronted the younger male. They were lots of these confrontations going on. It looked like practice for years to come.
