Living with Wildlife : As the human population continues to grow and we continue to develop open space, animals are constantly losing valuable habitat that is vital to their survival. The photographs in this gallery speaks broadly to the often unfortunate and inevitable conflicts that occur where people and animals inhabit the same areas.

The intent of the images is to encourage discussion about harmonious and peaceful coexistence between people and wildlife in urban, suburban, and rural communities and the need to make room for wildlife.

About : .....

I am a wildlife photographer and a member of NANPA (North American Nature Photographer Association). I live in San Rafael, CA.

My background is in the Arts. I received a B.F.A. in Fine Arts from the University of Colorado in Boulder and a M.F.A. in Fine Arts from the San Francisco Art Institute.

I am dedicated to wild places and to wildlife and their resilient wild nature. And I am fortunate to live in a place where nature's beauty is seen everyday.

I am inspired by those ephemeral fleeting moments of wildness. And through my photography I share my passion and awe for those wild moments in hopes to inspire others to care about coexisting with wildlife.

And when I am photographing, I see the animals as individuals. Like humans, every wild animal is different and has unique behavior and characteristics. My focus is to convey a sense of that animal's character and spirit.

All images are of wild animals. In the "Living with Wildlife" gallery there are few images of captive wild animals. If an image is of an animal in captivity it is noted as captive in the caption field under the image.

The images on this site celebrate the local wild. And my intent is to promote respect and appreciation for wildlife and for the environment that we share. My photographs are offered as an invitation to coexist and make room for wildlife.

We share the same path. Let's share it well.
